Cabinet Secretary Chairs NCMC to review preparedness for “Hudhud” cyclone

The National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC), chaired by the Cabinet Secretary Shri Ajit Kumar Seth, reviewed the preparedness for the “Hudhud” cyclone likely to hit the coasts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on October 12, 2014. The Cabinet Secretary asked the representatives of all Central Ministries/Departments and Chief Secretaries of the concerned State Governments to take necessary steps for preparedness to meet any eventuality from the cyclone. कैबिनेट सचिव ने समुद्री तूफान ‘हुदहुद’ का सामना करने की तैयारी की समीक्षा की कैबिनेट सचिव श्री अजीत कुमार सेठ ने राष्‍ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन समिति की अध्‍यक्षता की जिसमें समुद्री तूफान ‘हुदहुद’ का सामना करने की तैयारियों की समीक्षा की गई। यह तूफान पूर्वी तट पर 12 अक्‍तूबर, 2014 को आ सकता है। कैबिनेट सचिव ने सभी केन्‍द्रीय मंत्रालयों/विभागों और संबद्ध राज्‍यों के मुख्‍य सचिवों से आग्रह किया कि वे इस समुद्री तूफान के चलते होने वाली किन्‍हीं भी मुश्‍किलों का सामना करने के लिए जरूरी उपाय करें।
