of the written
examination held by
UNION PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION in November
2013 and Personality
Test subsequently in
March 2014, the
following are the
lists , in order of merit,
of candidates who
have been recommended
for appointment to
the following posts
of Category I
and Category II :
Appointment to
the posts under
the two categories
shall be made by
the Government in
accordance with the merit position, preferences
exercised by the
candidates and number
of vacancies enumerated
below:
CATEGORY- I: Number of posts in Geological Survey of India, Ministry
of Mines.
CATEGORY– II : Number of posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of
Water Resources.
The total
number of candidates recommended for appointment to Category I i.e.
for Geologist, Gr
A and Asstt. Geologists, Grade-I
Gr B are 45 , which include 20 General
(incl. 01 PH
candidate) , 14 Other
Backward Class, 08 Scheduled
Caste , 03 Scheduled Tribe candidates.
The
total number of candidates recommended for appointment in Category II
i.e. for Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Gr A and Assistant Hydrogeologists, Gr B are 43 , which include 17 General ,
13 Other Backward Class,
06 Scheduled Caste ,
07 Scheduled Tribe candidates. No
candidate has qualified
under PH category.
The result
of 27 candidates
has been withheld.
The
candidature of
the following 10
recommended candidates is
provisional :
For Category-I posts , Commission is
maintaining a Reserve
List of 14
candidates ( 07 General, 05 OBC and
02 SC candidates) ranking in
order of merit
below the last
recommended candidate.
For
Category-II posts, Commission
is maintaining a Reserve List
of 20 candidates
( 10 General, 08 OBC and 02
SC candidates ) ranking in
order of merit below the
last recommended candidate.
UPSC has a
`Facilitation Counter` near Examination
Hall in its campus. Candidates can
obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/
recruitment on the
working day between
10:00 hrs. to 17:00 hrs in person
or over telephone

also be available
